Design Process

Our process follows the same horizontal stage layout used on architectural drawing sets. Each numbered stage produces a deliverable sheet you can keep, share with contractors, and revise as the project develops.

Initial Brief

Telephone or email discussion about your Exeter property, existing stone or cob construction, and how you intend to use the conservatory or garden room.

Site Measure

On-site visit to record dimensions, sight lines toward the garden, and adjacent Heavitree stone or slate details that glazing must respect.

Layout Draft

First layout sheet showing room proportions, door positions, and connection to the main house — annotated for Devon planning context where relevant.

Material Schedule

Frame finish, glass specification, floor covering, and junction details at the house wall — written for your installer to price accurately.

Plant & Furnish

Plant-zone map and furniture-in-glass placement notes so the finished room functions through Exeter's mild but wet winters.

Shading Review

Heat gain and shading schedule for south- and west-facing elevations, including vent positions and internal blind recommendations.

7

Final Issue

Complete numbered sheet set delivered as PDF; optional follow-up consultation (£90–£210) for revisions after contractor quotes.

Consultations are billed separately from full packages. A single site measure and layout draft typically falls within our £650 entry package; comprehensive sets with plant, furniture, and shading notes reach up to £4,200 for larger glazed links.
